 How Others see you is not important. How you see yourself means everything.

We live in a society where  many kind of people live together. Some people may criticise you while others flatter you. Some may tease you while others love you. Some may kind to you while others  cruel to you. Never bother about others. We should have a critical thinking about ourselves. we should be the judge of our actions. Do as per your conscience. Don't give more importance  to others. We should have an aim in our life. We should have a perspective about our life. We should achieve what we want to be. Don't let others to interfere in our life. Every person is a gem. We should polish ourselves to come out the light from the gem. It need many rubbing and polishing .We have to work hard to achieve our goal. There should be self confidence, self respect and self reliance. We should accept our abilities and disabilities. Don't feel inferiority complex or superiority complex. Do things and judge yourselves and correct if you have any mistake. How you see yourselves is every thing.

Be Extraordinary: Thomaskutty Mathew 1st BA Sociology

  Lady in the house, her responsibilities and ambitions The most important video which struck my attention was the inspirational video by Amrita Duhan. Ms.Amrita Duhan is an IPS officer by profession and MBBS by degree. She hails from Rohtak in Haryana. From the very young age she dreamt of becoming a Civil Servant. She was inspired by a serial telecasted in the Doordarshan channel. Later when she informed it in her family her parents didn't support it. Sarcastically, she says that the ultimate goal of middle-class parents is let their children be a doctor or engineer. She further adds that for a secure future Mrs Amarita Duhan choose MBBS and she says that she is the first doctor in her own family. After completing her MBBS and MD in pathology,  she had joined as an assistant professor in a Government Medical College. Then came up her marriage. After marriage when she said that she wish to become a Civil Servant, her in-laws discouraged

OVERCOMING HOPELESSNESS : Thomaskutty Mathew, 1st BA Sociology

   Today I am going to introduce a new personality, who might be familiar to at least some of us. His name is Nick Vujicic.   Nick Vujicic is an Australian-American motivational speaker, born with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of hands and legs. He was born in Australia and later he shifted to California. Basically he is a Christian evangelist.    The essence of all his speech is to "transform the worse into the best." In his autobiography,  he says that when he was born his mother was reluctant to see him. Later on they eventually accepted the fact that it was God's plan for their son.   He says about how he overcame obstacles in his life. Further, he adds that his  obstacles became opportunities. He says that a lot of students teased him. In spite of all those he could  complete his higher education successfully.   His words are to be noted in our hearts.  " When we lose hope we will lose our strength to live. " Willpower
