BEFITTING TRIBUTE (THOMASKUTTY MATHEW)

 "What's wrong with woman?", are the famous words of K.K. Shailaja the former health minister of Kerala. Nitika Kaul, wife of a deceased soldier proves the potential of women. Nitika Kaul is the wife of late Major Vibhuti Dhoundiyal who was killed in the 2019 encounter. Following her martyred husband’s footsteps, Nitika Kaul, joined the Indian Army. Nitika Kaul passed out from the Officer’s Training Academy in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and is now commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Indian Army. Her husband, Major Vibhuti Dhoundiyal was part of an operation in Pinglang area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama on the trail of those behind the Pulwama attack that killed 40 CRPF soldiers. Major Dhoundiyal 

along with three others were killed in the attack. For his valour, he was decorated with the Shaurya Chakra. Soon after her husband’s death, Nitika Kaul cleared the Short Service Commission Examination and started her training. The couple had got married in 2018 and within a year, Nitika lost her husband. Nitika left her corporate job and joined the army as a tribute to her late husband.

  Lady in the house, her responsibilities and ambitions The most important video which struck my attention was the inspirational video by Amrita Duhan. Ms.Amrita Duhan is an IPS officer by profession and MBBS by degree. She hails from Rohtak in Haryana. From the very young age she dreamt of becoming a Civil Servant. She was inspired by a serial telecasted in the Doordarshan channel. Later when she informed it in her family her parents didn't support it. Sarcastically, she says that the ultimate goal of middle-class parents is let their children be a doctor or engineer. She further adds that for a secure future Mrs Amarita Duhan choose MBBS and she says that she is the first doctor in her own family. After completing her MBBS and MD in pathology,  she had joined as an assistant professor in a Government Medical College. Then came up her marriage.    Today I am going to introduce a new personality, who might be familiar to at least some of us. His name is Nick Vujicic.   Nick Vujicic is an Australian-American motivational speaker, born with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of hands and legs. He was born in Australia and later he shifted to California. Basically he is a Christian evangelist.    The essence of all his speech is to "transform the worse into the best." In his autobiography,  he says that when he was born his mother was reluctant to see him. Later on they eventually accepted the fact that it was God's plan for their son.   He says about how he overcame obstacles in his life. Further, he adds that his  obstacles became opportunities. He says that a lot of students teased him. In spite of all those he could  complete his higher education successfully.   His words are to be noted in our hearts.  " When we lose hope we will lose our strength to live. " Willpower
