“Treasure is there where the Heart is,” says the highest-selling book ‘The Alchemist’ written by Brazilian author Paulo Coelho in 1988. It is an international bestseller and has been translated into more than 70 languages. The book is short having 172 pages only. The theme is about finding one’s purpose in life.

The book is about a shepherd boy Santiago living a very poor life without even a shelter, who once dreams of a treasure buried in the middle of the desert, near the pyramids in Egypt. Later a wizard compels says him to go in search of the treasure. But he doesn’t take the advice seriously. He starts working in a bakery where he collects a pretty amount of money. He regularly meets an old man who tells him about the signs of God.                          

Later on, with a help of the mysterious old man and the bakery owner, he realized that his destiny is the treasure. So, he starts his journey through a desert to the pyramids of Egypt. During the journey, he falls in love with a tribal girl but leaves her to continue his journey. However, he promises her that he would return.  He also meets a real alchemist who tells him the art of alchemy. During this vast journey, he feels love for the desert and its magic. Later on, after a big deal of learning and magical experiences he finally finds his treasure.  Alchemist means a person who has the magical powers and techniques to change anything into gold. Basically, the main idea which the author wants to deliver is, to listen to your heart and just start on your journey towards destiny. The author focuses on the voice of your heart and your duty to follow It.” when you decide to do something with your heart, the whole universe conspires to accomplish it” is one of the best Quotes of the book. These kinds of people have the true power to change anything into gold. This is a book that awakens us and makes feel us the necessity to search for our destiny and go on the journey. This book is highly recommended for everyone who feels the motivation to change his/her life.  It is highly inspirational, awakening, and life-changing, and so on.

  Lady in the house, her responsibilities and ambitions The most important video which struck my attention was the inspirational video by Amrita Duhan. Ms.Amrita Duhan is an IPS officer by profession and MBBS by degree. She hails from Rohtak in Haryana. From the very young age she dreamt of becoming a Civil Servant. She was inspired by a serial telecasted in the Doordarshan channel. Later when she informed it in her family her parents didn't support it. Sarcastically, she says that the ultimate goal of middle-class parents is let their children be a doctor or engineer. She further adds that for a secure future Mrs Amarita Duhan choose MBBS and she says that she is the first doctor in her own family. After completing her MBBS and MD in pathology,  she had joined as an assistant professor in a Government Medical College. Then came up her marriage.    Today I am going to introduce a new personality, who might be familiar to at least some of us. His name is Nick Vujicic.   Nick Vujicic is an Australian-American motivational speaker, born with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of hands and legs. He was born in Australia and later he shifted to California. Basically he is a Christian evangelist.    The essence of all his speech is to "transform the worse into the best." In his autobiography,  he says that when he was born his mother was reluctant to see him. Later on they eventually accepted the fact that it was God's plan for their son.   He says about how he overcame obstacles in his life. Further, he adds that his  obstacles became opportunities. He says that a lot of students teased him.
