Roots Manojkumar_20umat3721 'Roots' a short story written by Ismath Chugthai is a fictional take on the impact of partition on interpersonal relationships as well as the idea as the home and community.   The story takes before the declaration of independence of India and Pakistan where migrations have already begun.
