The old man and the sea is a novella written by Ernest Hemmingway. It tells about the  battle between Santiago and the fish. It is a beautiful short novel. Nature comes as an unseen yet powerful force in it. The famous words which made the novel famous is, :"Man can be destroyed but not defeated ".
