The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho; Joyal Gijo

         The Alchemist is a novel written by the famous Brazilian author Paulo Coelho. Later it became the bestseller and was translated in more than 80 languages. It plots the story of a young shepherd  Santiago who decided to follow his dreams to find a treasure at a far away place, the Pyramids. He leaves his flock of sheep and started his journey towards Egypt.

             Along his journey, Santiago came across with several people, some helped him whereas some steals from him. He waits for long to fulfill his dream. Santiago saw an Alchemist who leads him to the Pyramids. He acquired several knowledge from the Alchemist. And at last he founds that his destination were not the actual one he had seen in his dreams but the church where he had seen the dream.Finally he got the treasure.

     "And when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."

    This novel had been a really inspirational one for a millions of youth since now and then. It reminds us to pursue our dreams to become success.

  Lady in the house, her responsibilities and ambitions The most important video which struck my attention was the inspirational video by Amrita Duhan. Ms.Amrita Duhan is an IPS officer by profession and MBBS by degree. She hails from Rohtak in Haryana. From the very young age she dreamt of becoming a Civil Servant. She was inspired by a serial telecasted in the Doordarshan channel. Later when she informed it in her family her parents didn't support it. Sarcastically, she says that the ultimate goal of middle-class parents is let their children be a doctor or engineer. She further adds that for a secure future Mrs Amarita Duhan choose MBBS and she says that she is the first doctor in her own family. After completing her MBBS and MD in pathology,  she had joined as an assistant professor in a Government Medical College. Then came up her marriage.    Today I am going to introduce a new personality, who might be familiar to at least some of us. His name is Nick Vujicic.   Nick Vujicic is an Australian-American motivational speaker, born with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of hands and legs. He was born in Australia and later he shifted to California. Basically he is a Christian evangelist.    The essence of all his speech is to "transform the worse into the best." In his autobiography,  he says that when he was born his mother was reluctant to see him. Later on they eventually accepted the fact that it was God's plan for their son.   He says about how he overcame obstacles in his life. Further, he adds that his  obstacles became opportunities. He says that a lot of students teased him. In spite of all those he could  complete his higher education successfully.   His words are to be noted in our hearts.  " When we lose hope we will lose our strength to live. " Willpower
