I HAVE PROMISES TO KEEP/ SEETHALAKSHMI / I BA SOCIOLOGY / TEAM 3

           What are promises?

If we ask this question to a person, one could say that they are the assurance that you will do or do not do something. But does the word have a meaning that is confirmed to one sentence? Definitely no! It can be a kind of hope that we give to the person we promised. It contains a shade of hope, trust and concern.

The promises that we make can open new doors of opportunities.... The opportunities to explore the best version of ourselves and sometimes the worst version too!  Even so, the word has it's own sacredness and worth.

As an individual, I believe in the sacredness of promises and I have  many promises that I want to keep. I have promises to keep... as a daughter, as a student, as a sister and as a good friend. Moreover I have promises to keep to myself too- to be a good individual, to be confident, to stress little, to give more and more glitters to my dreams, to choose happiness and to live a life that I dreamt! And all these promises inspires me to grow as a better individual. Literally they are my reminders. It reminds me about hope, trust and concern of my loved ones as well as of myself.

And I too have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep....
