Promise, a word that creates a sense of the bond between two persons. One makes a promise such that he owe to the other to give or do something in favor of the latter. There is nothing more painful than breaking a promise no matter what is the degree of it. If we have chosen to keep promises, do it at will and not under force.

Promise is an intuition that evoke sense of respect as well. It is way that the others understand how reliable you or me are. Promises is a reminder to live life meaningfully. If we have no promises to keep to no one there is no meaning in living a life like this.

" I have promises to keep". Yes and the same extends itself to God as my creater, parents for the time and energy that they have given us, friends and siblings who have been with us sharing love, joy and happiness and all those whom we met and may have forgotten and forbidden for reasons known and un-known. Wherever we are what ever we do, all of them at the end reminds us we have promises to keep
