The Value of Life- Meenakshi Sivakumar; Sociology Department

We have been lucky enough to be born into this great, big world with whatever privileges we possess and yet we find the nerve to complain about each and every thing. It is human nature to take things for granted, but that should not stop us from utilising our resources and our own potential. It does not matter if we falter, we have our whole life ahead to get backup again. We are more than just the sum of our faults and shortcomings. We should not let the negative words of others stop us from confidently tread the hard path of life. We should surround ourselves with people who understand and respect us and that alone will give us the motivation to make our dreams come true. We are human beings with infinite potential and whatever shortcomings we have are compensated by our brilliant, unique minds. The world is far too big and beautiful for us to not conquer it with our passion and abilities. At the end of the day, it is upto us to decide if we want to be a $2 stone or a $200,000 stone.
