Lady in the house, her responsibilities and ambitions

The most important video which struck my attention was the inspirational video by Amrita Duhan.
Ms.Amrita Duhan is an IPS officer by profession and MBBS by degree. She hails from Rohtak in Haryana. From the very young age she dreamt of becoming a Civil Servant. She was inspired by a serial telecasted in the Doordarshan channel. Later when she informed it in her family her parents didn't support it. Sarcastically, she says that the ultimate goal of middle-class parents is let their children be a doctor or engineer. She further adds that for a secure future Mrs Amarita Duhan choose MBBS and she says that she is the first doctor in her own family. After completing her MBBS and MD in pathology,  she had joined as an assistant professor in a Government Medical College. Then came up her marriage.

After marriage when she said that she wish to become a Civil Servant, her in-laws discouraged her saying that civil services is meant for aliens. Her own brother, Vinod Duhan who is an IPS officer motivated her. Being a doctor, a homemaker and a mother she tried to overcome the difficulties/barriers. She says that she studied 12 hours on an average for a day. Finally out of much pressure she attempted the civil service examination and she had cleared it. She was 33 years while on training for civil service at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy. After white coat, she wore kaki.There were many obstacles on her path again. The only extraordinary thing in her life was height. She was the only women cadre who won three trophies, including the one for the all-round IPS probationer. 

As a conclusion she says the selfless services rendered by the police officers to the citizens. Police officers let the people to celebrate all the festivals peacefully by sacrificing their celebrations.

At last she conveys a message to all:-
" Taj Mahal was not built by an extra ordinary man. It was built by sum total of the best efforts made by ordinary people."
